Mrs. Lemont’s 5th Grade

 

This blog is for West Bath 5th grade students and their parents. It is intended to keep you informed about what is happening in class by checking the Class News or the categories “News” for archived newsletters and “Photos” to see activities involving the students. It will also allow you to take an active part in the curriculum. Please feel free to make comments. All you need to do in the reply section is fill in is your name, comment, and then click submit.

Students are encouraged to share their comments about the books they are reading with each other and with Mrs. Lemont. Students can blog anytime throughout their reading of a book, article, or other print source by clicking on the “summaries” link. I would like students to share their feelings, predictions and connections about what they are reading. It would also be great to give a review of the book after it is completed to help others looking for a good book to read (or a book to stay away from). I hope to spark some great conversations about literature! Parents please feel free to comment on books you think the kids would enjoy or ones that thought were great books growing up.

There is a page where links to the Internet will be provided that integrate with our “curriculum”. This page will continually grow as we move through the year and start new units of study.

Parents can not only keep informed by checking out the categories for news and photos but also the ones in which students may post comments by checking out the different pages listed. I hope parents will feel free to make comments as well.
